This is an exciting opportunity to join NBBJ as a Market Leader for our innovative Corporate Workplace practice.We are seekinga leader who will bring their expertise and passion to build upon our award-winning Corporate Office practice in the Northeast region.

Corporate Workplace Market Leaders are client-facing experts whoare motivated to help clients navigate new hybrid work contexts. They are eager to be a valued expert in NBBJs networked ecosystem of workplace strategists, interior designers, and design thought leaders.

Market Leaders shape NBBJ’s global practice at the regional, national, and international levels, advancing our commitment to innovation, sustainability and design excellence.Adept at building long-term strategic relationships, the ideal candidate for this role can work both collaboratively and independently, is proactive in delivering success, is able to positively influence othersand can thrive in the face of changing conditions.

NBBJ Market Leaders play a leading role in relationship development to grow the practice. This position works closely with our firmwide Corporate Practice Leadership team and Marketing Department to build business, identify new relationships, as well asdevelop client retention strategies to grow the practice throughout the Northeast.

In your new role, you will:

  • Expand NBBJ’s presence on the East Coast through increased client engagement and activity, focusing on the Corporate Office/Workplace sector.
  • Manage clients, including project organization and successful project start-up.
  • Be a trusted advisor to clients, a lead team member on projects, and a role model and a mentor for staff.
  • Develop client and practice strategies, market positioning and leadership within a design practice focused on Corporate Office projects.
  • Use expertise, positioning, industry engagement, and client relationships to win new Corporate Office projects.
  • Provide thought leadership content that strengthens NBBJ’s value proposition and point-of-view.
  • Ensure business resiliency through strategic service offerings, cross-practice strategies and upstream relationship building.
  • Advance NY Corporate practice’s reputation through conference presentations, journal articles, and social media communications.

What you will need to succeed:

  • 15+ years of experience in the design profession with a focus in Corporate interiors and architecture.
  • Licensure or equivalent professional certification encouraged.
  • Strong relationships and connections with clients and real estate professionals in New York City.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment and capable of bringing together a diverse team of leaders, unifying marketing objectives and go-to-market strengths.
  • Ability to create strong market positioning through client relevancy and demand strategies while building a client-centric, idea-driven culture.
  • Ability to build new business and lead successful corporate workplace projects.
  • A great communicator and storyteller with an engaging and energetic personality.
  • Commitment to sustainable and equitable design.

The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $175,000 and $195,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
