Summary This position requires working with minimal supervision to perform disassembly, quoting, customer contact, assembly, testing, and transport of tooling, machine sub-assemblies, and machines and equipment in need of remanufacture or new assemblyThis position requires strong knowledge of packaging machine functions, diagnostics and troubleshooting, package criteria and end customer needs. 
  
  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:
•    Follows the directives from the supervisor to execute the manufacturing production schedule and to fulfill the order requirements of quality work at the agreed upon due date.
 
•    Performs all manufacturing requirements associated with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and safety on assigned equipment. Assembles and installs physical components into quality assemblies, many times without the benefit of written assembly instructions.
 
•    Schedule ownership for all assigned activities in designated work centers, managing daily to ensure material are on schedule to meet the agreed upon schedule, communicating with supervisor when issues arise.
 
•    Order processing in SAP for releasing, printing, confirming, and inventory movements for all production orders, service orders, and projects assigned.
 
•    Communicates directly with our customer (if required) to provide pricing and delivery. Assist customers with emergency situations requiring rapid turnaround of machines or equipment.
 
•    Adheres to established work schedules, order priorities and practices efficient time management to achieve these detailed schedule goals.
 
•    Performs advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment to determine the required project scope of work relating to machinery.
 
•    Confirms the form/ fit and function of the project and performs “early” risk analysis to determine if the BOM/ components appear complete as needed. Provides immediate feedback to the supervisor if risks are detected. 

•    Recommends changes as needed to the configuration of production items. Performs modifications when approved by supervisor. Confirms items not on the provided BOM are attached to production orders for inventory relief.
 
•    Confirms all floor work is performed to correct standards of performance, alignment, seals, tensioning, attaching, marking, testing, safety, documentation and component integrity
 
•    Confirms assigned work is prepared for customer shipment by confirming all required components, e.g. gaskets, spares, manuals, tool boxes, film, etc. are present and accounted for. Documents outbound items by photographing prior to transfer
 
•    Confirms documents verifying quality assurance, performance testing, settings, risk areas, exceptions are filled out, sent to the proper contacts and filed for future reference
 
•    Informs the supervisor in advance of needed in/ out movement of machines or product
 
•    Provides up front detail information to supervisor associated with machines scheduled for shipment
 
•    Provide item identification of removed items needing storage or disposal
 
•    Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment
 
•    Implement the management directives associated with policies, goals and procedures
Performs additional production activities as required by the supervisor

Education/Experience: 
High school diploma and two years of field service, packaging, maintenancemanufacturing or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in packaging equipment assembly or remanufacturing is preferred with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic parts and assemblies.  Strong working skill knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and machine shop activities is required Mechanical and engineering aptitude is needed.   
Ability to work in a team and individual environment, motivation to achieve success, and ability to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities required.  A history of successful customer service experience is a plus. 
Math Ability: 
Speed and feed calculations, Metric and Standard calculations, basic and advanced measuring techniques, Ability to calculate dimensions, percentages, area and volume. Must be able to measure both English and Metric dimensions. Knowledge of resources available to complete these tasks. 
  
Computer Skills:  
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, inventory software, manufacturing software, and ERP systems.  CAD/CAM system experience is a plus. Manufacturing experience with SAP is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The associate may be regularly exposed to dirt, grease and cleaning agents.
