Overview of the Job:
The FP&A Manager will play a critical role supporting and shaping the financial future of the company by providing valuable insights, analysis, and strategic support to the senior management team. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial planning and analysis. This role will be intricately involved in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis to guide strategic decision-making within the organisation.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Forecasting
- Assist the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Develop comprehensive financial models to support long-term strategic planning.
- Analyse key drivers of financial performance and identify trends and variances.
- Monitor and analyse monthly financial results, providing insights into performance.
- Collaborate with department heads to explain variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, revenue enhancement and margin expansion.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to align financial goals and objectives.
- Provide financial support and guidance for strategic initiatives and projects
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track business performance.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and modelling to support decision-making and enabling strategic business outcomes.
- Assist in evaluating potential investments and acquisitions.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or equivalent with professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/MIA).
- Ability to construct concise presentations of financial summaries and data to senior leaders
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Articulate, clear, persuasive and passionate written and verbal communication skill
- Strong key stakeholder management skills
- Ability to deliver outcomes through a team
- Superior communication and interpersonal capabilities
- Ability to balance risk and commercial outcomes
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally, is comfortable with a hands-on position
