Responsibilities:
1) Develops and maintains lean transformation plan to deliver value, eliminate waste and improve performance based on strategy deployment and business results.
2) Collaborates with leaders to execute Gemba walk process (Managing for Daily Improvement), utilising and constantly improving the production floor and in the office areas. Drives all levels of leaders to implement continuous improvement and eliminate flow inhibitors.
3) Leading the plant-wide cost savings program to meet and/or exceed annual targets. This includes identification, validation, and execution of projects
4) Establishing and maintaining plant KPI’s and visual factory tools in the organization’s Lean system. Serves as subject matter expert.
5) Communicate and lead the change to plant/department leaders. Implement Lean CI strategy at the plant level.
6) Communicate monthly productivity and CI results to management and corporate CI team.
7) Develop and implement CI roadmap to improve flow of materials and other improvements as defined by CI roadmap.
8) Execute CI roadmap within the sites. Participate/teach/lead the deployment of CI projects.
9) Establish standardised work and audit schedule for sustainment. Drive and improve the metrics.
10) Implement CI best practices across the plants/functional areas and share with the organisation.
11) Teach problem-solving skills to all employees, promoting the use of problem-solving tools within the plants/functional areas, and become a subject matter expert.
12) Support the Quality Management System.
13) Active leader within the company’s OPEX communities to spread improvements, share best practices and support where required.
14) Performing ad hoc job tasks assigned by the direct superior, not specified in this scope of duties and falling within the scope of the employee's professional competences
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
1.1 Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or significant direct manufacturing experience using & leading continuous improvement tools, systems, and methodologies
Desirable:
1.2 Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience
2.1 Experience in driving cultural change, leading teams, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
2.2 Skilled in managing projects, risks, and leading teams across functions to achieve operational goals.
2.3 Strong ability to analyze performance metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and implement data-based solutions.
2.4 Demonstrated ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment with a constant bias for action 2.5 Ability to empower teams so they can independently drive improvements.
Knowledge & Skills
3.1 Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies with a bias towards Lean.
3.2 Presentation skills
3.3 Facilitation & coaching skills
3.4 Able to convey complex information in simple terms
Other Requirements
4.1 Ability to travel if responsible for multiple sites
