Role Summary

We are recruiting an ambitious and commercially astute Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth within our labelling solutions for the Food & Beverage sector, focusing on private label and branded food manufacturers.
 
Our Business Development Managers operate in high volume FMCG environments, taking the lead in accelerating new business acquisition and expanding key accounts across linerless, OPP and value-added pressure-sensitive labelling solutions. Identifying white space opportunities by analysing market trends the successful candidate will be comfortable prospecting and opening doors for MCC.
 
Our Business Development Managers focus on the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to onboarding, converting Tier 1 and 2 accounts into loyal, long-term client partners and working alongside internal cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding labelling solutions and customer service.
 
At MCC we have ambitious plans, so specifically, we want to hear from you if you have experience of linerless, OPP and pressure-sensitive label solutions and want to capitalise on your product knowledge and business relationship building skills in an expanding market.
 
A solid understanding of food packaging compliance, safety standards and sustainability expectations will help to underpin your commercial success.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
 
Essential Skills and Experience 
  • Experience working with private label and/or branded food and beverage customers in the FMCG area
  • Experience with linerless and/or OPP labels
  • Outstanding business relationship building skills with proven B2B sales or business development experience
  • Demonstrated experience of strong negotiation skills with a results driven track record
  • Developed commercial skills and be astute in assessing opportunities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-motivation and be comfortable managing complex sales cycles
  • Solid organisation skills and be and CRM conversant (Salesforce preferred)
Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Background in packaging, labels or print manufacturing
  • Knowledge of food safety, compliance and sustainability standards
