About Mohonk Mountain House
Mohonk Mountain House is set within 40,000 spectacular natural acres in the heart of the Hudson Valley Region, just 90 miles north of New York City in New Paltz, New York. This National Historic Landmark resort has been welcoming guests for more than 145 years.
Founded in 1869, Mohonk Mountain House has been owned and operated by the Smiley family for four generations. Our resort is dedicated to promoting a warm and welcoming atmosphere that provides guests with “opportunities for re-creation and renewal in a beautiful natural setting”. The resort is set on cliffs above a pristine mountain lake, where employees are welcomed and encouraged to use many of the resort facilities. Employees can also participate in an array of activities as a complimentary benefit of their employment.

Starting with a full day orientation, new employees learn about the history, geography, and marketing of this award-winning resort. Employees continue their learning processes through on-going customer service training and skill development "on-the-job”.
