Position Summary:  

The Test Engineer is responsible for developing, supporting, and continuously improving the Engineering Test Department. This position performs electrical testing of RF components and integrated assemblies, ensures the integrity and accuracy of test results, troubleshoots RF measurement systems, and supports failure analysis activities for Production and Engineering Test.

  
Salary Range: $80,000-89,000 per year  
  
Job Functions:  
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot RF test equipment, including PNA-X vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, test fixtures, and related equipment.
  • Perform TB, test fixture, power handling, and other Engineering test activities, including testing, tuning, and troubleshooting integrated assemblies.
  • Ensure test stations have properly calibrated and functional equipment, accessories, and tools.
  • Support Engineering runs, investigate performance-related holds, and verify that Production and Engineering runs meet the latest model revisions and electrical specifications.
  • Develop test, tuning, and calibration procedures and support the transition of Engineering projects into Production.
  • Provide technical support to Production Test personnel and assist with test platform automation and equipment capability improvements.
  • Test and analyze product failures to determine root causes and assess potential impacts on products, processes, and production runs.
  • Prepare failure analysis reports and communicate findings internally and to customers as required.
  • Initiate and coordinate internal and supplier corrective actions, additional testing, and failure investigations.
  • Review failure history and Production and Engineering test data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve product quality and production yields.
  • Verify test data integrity and prepare test reports, data summaries, qualification records, and validation reports in accordance with company quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically review test procedures, work instructions, department documentation, and Company Procedures (CPs).
  • Identify required document changes and prepare revisions for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Identify and implement improvements to test processes, automation, equipment utilization, efficiency, quality, and overall department performance.
  • Train and cross-train team members and provide technical guidance on test procedures, equipment, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with the department Team Leader to establish objectives, communicate expectations, monitor productivity, and recommend operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, and other departments to resolve technical issues and support product and process decisions.
  • Communicate test results and technical findings to relevant stakeholders and support customer-related technical inquiries as assigned.

Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 0–2 years of related experience. A master’s degree in a related field may substitute for work experience.
  • Practical knowledge of testing and measuring MMIC, LTCC, and ferrite core and wire products, including couplers, dividers, baluns, transformers, mixers, and amplifiers.
  • Experience testing microwave and millimeter-wave hardware up to 40 GHz, including validating measurement results against theoretical expectations.
  • Hands-on ability to assemble, tune, test, and troubleshoot hardware in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with department Team Leaders to resolve test-related issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to occasionally move test equipment as needed for setup preparation or calibration.
