Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:
 
Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting activities required to maintain the company’s general ledger and deliver financial statement reporting in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.  The Staff Accountant will resolve accounting issues and assist other members of the accounting team in meeting department goals. 
 
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
 
Job Function:
  • Prepare monthly domestic financial statements.
  • Coordinate with international subsidiaries to complete and review timely financial statements.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
  • Support timely and efficient quarterly and annual audit activities.
  • Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returns.
  • Proactively suggests improvements, support departmental projects and process changes to improve efficiency in work processes and to reduce work in low value activities.
  • Utilize strong technical accounting background to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Internal Accounting Policy.
  • Updates accounting knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Ad hoc reporting and assistance with projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA / MBA a plus.
  • 2-4 years of related experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing a plus.
  • Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to ITAR compliance.
  • Experience in ERP implementation (eg. SAP, Oracle etc.) preferred.
  • Solid financial analysis thinking and experience.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail; efficient; able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Timely and accurate completion of tasks.
