Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.    

Position Summary:
The Product Marketing Engineer II is responsible for the tactical day-to-day customer facing activities of the CATV MMIC product line. This role is responsible for working with the Director of Product Line Engineering – CATV MMIC in the execution of Marketing and Sales supporting activities, as well as for promoting the CATV MMIC product line to Sales Representatives and customers through ongoing Marketing activities and periodic special events and trade shows
 
Salary Range: $80,000 - $119,000 per year
 
Job Function:
  • Supporting customers and Sales with datasheet and application note requests.
  • Organize fulfilment of sample and evaluation board (EVB) requests, and follow-up to gather customer feedback on units provided. Maintain a tracking database of samples and EVBs with special attention to customer feedback and ultimate outcome.
  • Completion of datasheet and application note materials to Mini-Circuits standards by integrating technical content provided by Design and Product Engineering.
  • Prepare periodic reports tracking sales opportunities and customer forecasts through the sales funnel highlighting any trends or new requests. Cultivate awareness of market opportunities adjacent to the CATV market.
  • Work with Order Fulfilment to be aware of potential gaps or shortcomings in delivery or excessive inventory.
  • Work with Mini-Circuits Market Communication functions on trade show organization and management.
  • Work to grow knowledge and awareness of the CATV market, it’s unique characteristics, OEM customers, major operators, and how we can best serve them.
  • Work collaboratively with Management, Marketing, Publications, Engineering and Operations teams to support direct marketing initiatives for new product launch materials (i.e., e-commerce, social media, trade shows, brochures, press releases, etc.).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Master of Science Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5+ years’ related experience with RF/Microwave industry or other hi-tech industry related to telecommunications, electronics, machine automation, or controls systems in the Telecom, Aerospace and Defense industries.
  • Practical working knowledge of the RF Microwave industry as an electrical engineer. Ability to grow your knowledge of RF into the distinctives of the CATV industry.
  • Data analysis using spreadsheets, proficiency in MS Office with emphasis in EXCEL.
  • Proven track record working with customers on a regular basis to provide technical assistance, outstanding customer service & maximize business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products, including marketing strategies, tactics, and sales techniques.
  • Proven research, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills & ability to relate to a diverse population.
  • Have strong communication skills (both verbal & written) including the ability to listen, ask, lead, question, and articulate customers’ requests, and report back to the Mini-Circuits team(s).
  • Conduct business on “off hours” to accommodate customers as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact, deliver on-time results and be accountable to Senior Management.
  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely well-organized.
  • Must possess a polished and professional image.
