Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Director of Global Supply Chain Planning and Analysis will be responsible for developing and executing a supply chain planning vision and strategy.  This strategy will encompass best practices across the demand and supply planning operations on a global scale, with a primary focus on exceeding customer service levels, optimizing working capital, improving forecast accuracy, and enhancing profitability.  This highly impactful role will provide strategic and tactical leadership to a global team ensuring all operational and financial objectives are met while fostering a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement to support Mini-Circuits’ commitment to meet our customer’s requirements and exceed their expectations.

Salary Range: $181,100 - $271,700 per year

Job Function:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global planning strategy aligned with Mini-Circuits’ vision, goals, and objectives.
    • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, fostering collaboration among key stakeholders to drive consensus and informed decisions.
    • Plan and drive improvement initiatives to continuously enhance the capabilities, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness of the Planning department globally.
  • Demand Forecasting & Inventory Management:
    • Develop and execute demand forecasting strategies and processes to accurately predict product demand, optimize finished goods (FG) inventory levels, and minimize stock-outs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate demand planning, inventory control, and replenishment strategies, taking into account varying market dynamics and customer preferences.
    • Drive the cross-functional review process to regularly evaluate and disposition FG’s for potential life cycle progression to minimize the impact of FG obsolescence on inventory and financial performance.
  • Supply Planning & Inventory Management:
    • Develop and execute supply planning strategies and processes which effectively balance customer demand, inventory productivity, and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with Sourcing, Quality, Sales, and Operations to deliver required service levels, targeted inventory levels, and other key operational objectives, considering demand inputs, customer / NPI requirements, and manufacturing and supply constraints.
    • Optimize inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring timely customer order fulfillment and minimizing backorders.
  • Supply Chain Analytics:
    • Develop and maintain robust analytical models and tools to analyze global supply chain data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
    • Utilize statistical methods, data visualization, and other advanced techniques, to evaluate global supply chain performance and support decision making at strategic and tactical levels.
  • Risk Management and Resilience:
    • Proactively identify and quantify potential global supply chain risks and vulnerabilities, including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and business continuity measures to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations that support customer service level objectives.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including, Sales, customers, Sourcing, Operations, Logistics, and Finance teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to streamline processes and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor supply chain performance.
    • Regularly evaluate performance against targets, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure annual objectives are being met.
    • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to management on key objectives, initiatives, supply chain metrics / KPI’s, and other areas as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • As the leader of the Global Planning and Analysis department you will recruit, retain, and continually develop a high-performing global team of 15-20 motivated supply chain professionals.
  • Communicate and drive the strategic plan, goals, objectives, and KPI’s across the team, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Build organizational capabilities and improve performance through personnel development plans, mentoring, cross-training and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, accountability, and a sense of urgency within the team and its processes.
  • Regularly review and assess ongoing performance metrics of the team against targeted objectives, taking proactive measures as necessary to ensure department and organizational goals are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a strong ethical and responsible approach to supply chain planning and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Materials Management, Engineering or a similar field required.
    10+ years of experience in supply chain planning & analysis, forecasting, operations, and/or supply management.
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing a team in demand and/or supply planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with ability to inspire and retain a diverse global team.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements, working capital optimizations, and operational efficiencies in a global supply chain environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of global supply chain management principles, including demand forecasting, production scheduling, inventory optimization, logistics, and sourcing.
  • Ability to independently evaluate information, analyze complex data, derive actionable insights, and make decisions with minimal guidance while exercising discretion and flexibility to changing priorities.
  • A passion for collaboration, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a strong customer focus with a bias to over-communicating.
  • Thorough understanding of financial drivers and their impact on the financial performance of supply chain operations (e.g., turns, COGS, gross margin, forecast accuracy, etc.)
  • Experience in driving transformational change through people, processes, and technology is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Sales and Operations Planning processes and data requirements is preferred.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to influence using data, risk/benefit analysis, and your skills in fostering relationships and building trust.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is required.
  • Professional certification in supply chain, such as CPIM, CSCP, CPSM or equivalent is desired.

Additional Requirements/Skills:
