Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Position Summary:
As an LTCC Engineering Intern you will support the LTCC Business Unit with its strategic objectives and technology roadmap in meaningful ways. This internship focuses on exploring the potential applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning within the LTCC design and analysis workflow. You can expect to participate in the daily operations of the LTCC Business Unit through completion of your assigned tasks as part of a project in-line with your skills and interests. A major component of this internship is also for you to learn about the Mini-Circuits culture, values, and mission while gaining experience and further refining your RF/microwave skillsets in an industry environment.
 
Salary Range: $14.25-17.25 per hour  
Job Function:    
  • Running circuit and EM simulations with industry standard tools such as ADS and HFSS.
  • Compiling and analyzing the data from engineering tests. Creating Excel and PowerPoint reports and presenting to the team.
  • Writing Python/MATLAB code to implement machine learning algorithms to accomplish differing tasks.
  • Preparing training materials to train neural networks where applicable.
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and design reviews to understand LTCC design workflow.

Qualifications:
  • Preferably enrolled in a certified Master’s or PhD degree program in Electrical Engineering within an accredited education institution.
  • Must show completed coursework and/or capstone projects related to RF/microwave engineering.
  • General knowledge of radio frequency (RF)/microwave circuits, terminology, and analysis required.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis required.
  • Knowledge of Python or MATLAB required.
  • Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and orally communicate in English.
