Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.     

Position Summary:     
The Sr. Manager, Test Solutions Engineering is responsible for designing and manufacturing custom or semi-custom RACK Mount Test Solution Products. This role is in charge of managing product development projects and concepts through production/catalog release, as well as defining products that meet specific customer needs and that can be reused to additional customers and/or markets in the future. This role may take part in managing a product line and be responsible for product technology development/roadmap, product roadmap/pipeline, revenue growth, profitability, staffing at product line level and product line execution.     
    
Salary Range: $143,600 - $215,400 per year    
     
Job Function:     
  • Works with a Product Design Engineers on product development projects.
  • Works cross functionally with all associated departments, such as Marketing and production in Israel, characterization, qualification and the release to production and/or the release to website.
  • Define and lead the team to ensure the engineers follow the planning requirements of new Product Development projects (i.e. the assignment of milestones, schedules, budgets, product costs, deliverables, risks and mitigation plans, resources constraints)
  • On a regular basis, document the status of the work effort relative to the agreed upon plan in Mini-circuits Engineering Project Database.
  • Executes projects in accordance with established procedures and guidelines (opening, closing, data tracking integrity).
  • Develop and report on project objectives, including escalation of project shortfalls in a timely manner to affect the appropriate corrections.
  • Plans and provides direction to the department managers of the various functional departments for the portfolio of projects to successfully achieve project objectives.
  • Partners with the managers of Procurement, Manufacturing Process Engineering and Test Engineering to achieve timely execution for engineering design, pre-production, test and qualification.
  • Lead the compliance efforts regarding documentation standards for the engineering process to allow successful results for internal and external audits.
  • Accountable for successfully closing projects in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Take proactive steps to address risks/opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documenting and implementing lessons learned from closed projects.
  • Manage Product Development Engineering members to mentor, coach and facilitate career growth.  Administer performance reviews, rating/ranking and salary administration.

Qualifications:     
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience with RF and Microwave industry.
  • Strong research, analytical and presentation skills
  • Experienced in the use of Project Management, ERP and PLM tools (JIRA, SmartSheet and/or Arena desirable)
  • Experienced using Excel for database management (sorting, filtering, processing, categorizing, graphing skills are essential)
  • Experienced using PowerPoint for generating Engineering, Sales and Marketing presentations.  Graphing skills are essential.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (green card holder) due to ITAR compliance
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and capable of coordinating activities of cross functional personnel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to ask question, articulate customer requests, and report back to the Mini-Circuits team.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on-time results and be accountable.
  • Detail oriented and extremely well organized.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and get results through others.
  • Strong team player.
