Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:

The Technical Documentation Specialist creates and updates technical data sheets for Mini-Circuits’ portfolio of RF & microwave electronic products. This role will be responsible for preparing all technical datasheet content including product descriptions, spec tables, images, drawings and data plots using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and publishing finished assets into Mini-Circuits’ documentation system.

This position possess advanced skill with Adobe creative suite and at least 1-3 years’ experience working in a design or documentation production environment. Sharp attention to detail and comfort with technical product information are also key requirements. This is a six-month contract role with possible opportunity for renewal.
 
Salary Range: $20.00 - 30.00 per hour
 
Job Function:
  • Design layouts for technical datasheets for new products based on content inputs from various product line engineering groups.
  • Update legacy datasheets based on markups from ongoing documentation audit.
  • Check all work for quality, accuracy and fidelity to engineering sources.
  • Edit and retouch product images, drawings and other assets as needed for documentation.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders in engineering for clarification as needed.
  • Monitor and facilitate project review with engineering in cloud-based collaborative editing platform.
  • Generate engineering change orders (ECO’s) for datasheet documentation and publish approved versions in PLM system.

Qualifications:
  • Associates, Bachelor’s or equivalent training in graphic design, illustration, technical writing or similar discipline.
  • 1-3 years’ experience developing product documentation or similar content in a design production environment.
  • Mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word®, PowerPoint®, Excel® .
  • Comfortable collaborating with partners from a wide range of backgrounds and skillsets including marketing, design, engineering.
  • Outstanding written, spoken and visual communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex projects from end to end.
  • Sharp eye for detail.
  • Creative, resourceful, and open-minded.
  • High standards of personal and professional integrity.
