Level 1 Pick and Place Operator
Description
Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
- Must be able to operate the Solder Screen Printing, Pick & Place GSM, and Dicing Machine.
- Document all jobs worked on using bar code, clock on and clock off.
- Confirm inventory of materials used.
- Check quantity and drawings before signing QC sheets.
- Perform all solder paste screen print activities and soldering of small components (i.e. resistors, and capacitors to the pc board).
- Perform reflow of solder with conveyor oven.
- Must be able to load components into the feeders and separate PCB array into individual PCB.
- Submit suggestions to Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager for corrections or improvements to the process.
- Edit existing programs in the Pick & Place GSM & PCB Dicing Machines once verified by a Level 3 Operator or Team Leader.
- Notify the Team Leader or Manager to hold/stop a run when the non-conformity threatens the performance of the run.
- Notify Team Leader or Manager when department output goals are not met.
- Minimum High school diploma, GED or international equivalent.
- 6 months’ experience in Pick & Place Departmental responsibilities or equivalent related manufacturing or assembly experience.
- Ability to read, writes, and orally communicate in English and have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and documents.
- Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with the ISHIRA test for color blindness.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
- Must have basic operational knowledge on how to use the equipment within the department, including a microscope.
- Must be detail-oriented.
