Quality Supervisor
Description
Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary
The Quality Supervisor leads the inspection team on the manufacturing floor, ensuring consistent application of quality standards and procedures. This role supports inspectors in interpreting acceptance criteria, resolving quality issues with cross-functional teams, and managing daily operations and resources. The supervisor promotes a culture of quality and training, drives continuous improvement through LEAN initiatives, and monitors quality trends, production yields, and test yields.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 per year
Job Function
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for quality control activities, including inspection, calibration, returned materials, root cause analysis, and subcontractor quality performance and corrective actions.
- Manage inspection processes and respective departments, including CM inspection support, nonconforming MRB processes, and in-process product disposition.
- Establish and maintain traceability controls for materials, products, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, AS9100, customer requirements, and company procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN events, SPC monitoring, yield analysis, and inspection process improvements through technology and automation.
- Develop, revise, and standardize quality documentation and inspection processes across global teams.
- Support customer audits, manufacturing-related engineering change notices (ECNs), and the implementation of effective incoming and outgoing quality control processes and criteria for internal and external suppliers.
- Initiate quality alerts, supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), and defect material reports (DMRs); coordinate containment, corrective and preventive actions, and shipment holds as needed.
- Report quality performance, progress, and issues to cross-functional management teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Has the authority to place products on hold and stop shipment, production, or inspection processes when significant quality, safety, compliance, or process issues are identified.
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to company values.
- Assign and prioritize inspection activities, monitor employee performance, and ensure quality and production support objectives are met.
- Train, mentor, and develop Quality Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors, including cross-training on inspection methods, quality standards, equipment, and customer-specific requirements.
- Monitor attendance, staffing levels, and employee schedules; review and approve timecard corrections in Paycom.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance management in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Escalate quality concerns and support root cause investigations, containment, and corrective actions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within the electronics, electronic components or assemblies, semiconductor, aerospace, or wireless manufacturing industries.
- Prior supervisory or management experience.
- Knowledge of statistical quality methods, including sampling, control charts, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Training or demonstrated knowledge in internal auditing and ISO 9000 quality standards.
