Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer promotes defect prevention in products and processes, evaluates manufacturing processes, and investigates root causes of nonconformities to develop solutions.

Salary Range: $73,400 - $110,200 per year

Job Function:
  • Conduct root cause analysis using methods like Taguchi/Fishbone, 5 Whys, and Six Sigma process controls.
  • Perform FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and control charting.
  • Develop and implement statistical techniques (SPC, Control Charting, Sigma/Cpk Studies).
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing techniques including 5S, waste elimination, and value stream mapping.
  • Assist with internal audits and work with assembly facilities and suppliers to solve problems.
  • Support customer teams in quality filed investigation.
  • Document causes of non-conformance issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Perform daily spot audits and issue quality/process alerts.
  • Coordinate pilot build audits for new SKUs with NPI Team and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Review Test Data for new product design reviews and DFM reviews for NPI SKUs.
  • Drive improvements in assembly process and product design to reduce errors.
  • Engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements and participate in CAPA meetings.
  • Assist with process audits and support manufacturing and warehouse teams during customer audits.
  • May be responsible for leading projects or cross-functional team initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Failure Analysis, or related fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques, statistical process control, and 8D concepts.
  • Experience with Quality audit techniques, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, and AQL Inspection Sampling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify key issues rapidly.
  • Effective team building and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
