Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Global Market Manager (GMM) is responsible for leading the business development activity for a designated market focusing on critical key accounts. The GMM will work closely with the Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s) and Business Units (BU’s) to create winning strategies for the segment. The GMM will work at various levels within the key customers to build strong relationships with engineering, program management, sourcing and executive management. The GMM is primarily measured on market segment performance to sales budget, market share and MBO’s focused on funnel activity and product design win success.

Salary Range - $160k - $230k

Job Function:

  • Understand and communicate market segment growth rates and macro trends. Also, understand application-level trends to help create winning solutions.
  • Present a comprehensive up-date of the segment trends and performance at QBR’s.
  • Define and align the key market segment customers with RSM’s and BU’s. Also, define and monitor “rising stars” in the segment.
  • Work directly with BU’s to understand current capabilities and road mapping requirements.  
  • Work closely with RSM and Reps to develop new business opportunities at designated segment accounts.
  • Working closely with the customers to understand their technical requirements on current systems and opportunities and future developments.
  • Leverage successes with key accounts across all the segment customers.
  • Lead the communication and alignment of key customer requirements to the BU’s.
  • Work closely with BU’s and key customers to ensure our roadmaps are aligned to their requirements and MCL has strong customer driven roadmaps – increase the success rate of new product introductions.
  • Actively manage the pipeline of new opportunities with applications and BU’s to make sure the customer has all the support required to enable MCL to win the opportunity.
  • Maximize the MCL BOM on the customers opportunity, map out the block diagram as best possible and work with apps engineering and BU’s to suggest the right MCL solutions.
  • Determine the gap between our current capabilities and customer needs, work with the BU’s to close that gap.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing communications and BU’s on marketing initiatives for new product launches (SEO, e-commerce, social media, trade shows, brochures, press releases, etc.).
Qualifications:
  • BSEE, MSEE is preferred, and 10 years of related experience within RF/Microwave industry.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience working for a company with marketing and sales responsibilities.
  • Experience with analyzing markets and creating strategies to engage and expand market share.
  • Project management experience (market research, problem resolution, business development, tracking the progress of activities, etc.) in a technical, and customer service driven environment.
  • Proven experience working with customers to provide technical and commercial assistance and outstanding customer service.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods for promoting and selling products, including marketing strategies, tactics and sales techniques. 
  • Strong research, analytical and presentation skills.
