Role Summary  

MetaPhase is seeking a Senior Technical Writer with ten or more (10+) years of experience to be a part of a federal customer engagement team supporting cybersecurity strategy, business requirements and analysis, and process improvement. This team will work closely with senior federal leadership to distill national cybersecurity mission requirements, identify gaps in current services, and draft strategic documents outlining future activities, ensuring they closely align with national cybersecurity plans. This position requires an ability to work well with senior leaders, produce error-free and grammatically correct deliverables, and lead junior staff in the development of other detailed strategic documents.   

What You Will Be Doing  

• Conduct thorough quality checks on all cybersecurity documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to formatting guidelines.
• Produce resources for employees to promote awareness and understanding of cybersecurity policies and procedures and how the daily work supports the broader mission.
• Ensure that all cybersecurity plans and documentation, including policies and strategies, align with broader national and organizational cybersecurity plans.
• Generate 508 compliant documents 
• Work with policy document structure and content within the Federal government (DHS experience preferred)
• Draft and update cybersecurity policies aligned with the current strategy, ensuring they are clear and comprehensive.

What We Need From You (Required)  

• Minimum of ten or more (10+) years’ experience in communications, business analysis or role that involves writing, speaking, coordination. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
• U.S. citizenship required (no exceptions); Ability to obtain and hold an active Public Trust. 
• Familiarity with both the Government Printing Office (GPO) and Associated Press (AP) Style Guides
• Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures 
• Strong ability to quickly collate content from numerous disparate sources 
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 

Bonus Points (Desired)  

• Federal consulting experience; Experience at DHS a strong plus
