Position Summary
 
As a Solutions Specialist, your primary responsibility is to build accurate product, service, and SaaS configurations that meet customer requirements and leverage partner programs for competitive pricing. You will collaborate with Solution Architects, Account Executives, partners, and distributors to ensure every solution is optimized for cost and performance. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
 
Duties and Responsibilities  
 
  • Build & Validate Configurations: Create accurate Product, Services, and SaaS configurations using vendor tools; confirm pricing and compliance.
  • Submit Deal Registrations: Ensure timely and accurate submission of vendor deal registrations to maximize pricing advantages.
  • Optimize Pricing: Leverage partner programs, promotions, and incentives to deliver competitive quotes.
  • Manage Salesforce Opportunities: Meet defined SLAs and maintain progress indicators to ensure timely execution.
  • Support Pre-Sales Activities: Coordinate customer/partner/distributor calls, web meetings, and solution discussions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with sales and technical architects to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Gather & Organize Requirements: Capture technical and business requirements for tailored configurations.
  • Research Products & Services: Stay informed on partner offerings, lifecycle updates, and pricing structures.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep appropriate copies of deliverables and update all relevant files, tools, and systems for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage multi-partner portfolios: Develop expertise in partner processes, programs, and rules of engagement.
  • Promote Services & Solutions: Advocate for our technology stack and value-added offerings.
  • Monitor Product Lifecycle: Track EOL announcements and assist with upgrade opportunities.
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Foster relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and business partners.
  • Stay Current: Participate in partner training programs and maintain relevant partner certifications as assigned.
 
Qualifications and Requirements 
 
  • Knowledge of data center technologies, including compute, storage, virtualization, cloud/SaaS, security, power/cooling, and management software.
  • Familiarity with partner programs, promotions, distributor pricing processes, and deal registration workflows.
  • Experience working in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, with ability to meet SLAs and maintain progress indicators.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Problem-solving mindset with independent judgment and negotiation skills.
 
Education and Experience
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in IT products/services industry or equivalent technical background
