Position Summary
The Pre-Sales Operations Specialist is a key contributor to the success of the sales and delivery lifecycle for network, infrastructure, and security solutions. This role is responsible for drafting and managing Solution Estimates (SEs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Managed Services contracts in collaboration with Pre-Sales Engineers, Account Executives, and Delivery teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong operational acumen with technical understanding to ensure that all documentation accurately reflects the scope, pricing, and deliverables of proposed solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate SEs, SOWs, and Managed Services contracts aligned with customer requirements and solution architecture.
- Ensure all documentation complies with internal standards, legal requirements, and customer expectations. Develop customer contracts including renewals for managed services;
- Maintain, track, and manage customer contracts including renewal dates, types of sold services, and pricing;
- Secure pricing from other team members and partners;
- Engage and efficiently utilize Meridian resources within all departments to properly prepare the contracts;
- Keep all systems (CRM and ERP) up to date and complete;
- Share any developed materials and documentation which can be used by others as references or templates in support of the practice overall.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to translate technical solutions into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Assist in scoping services and estimating resource requirements for network, infrastructure, and security engagements.
Operation Administration
- Understand and maintain knowledge of service offerings and associated contract templates;
- Prepare contracts and amendments of contracts for client distribution;
- Work closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams to ensure alignment across all phases of the sales cycle.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Create support tickets to gather information to confirm configurations.
- Review and validate documentation for completeness, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
- Track and manage version control and approvals for all pre-sales documentation.
Service Contracts Management
- Track inventory of current services sold to customers;
- Ensure timely contract renewals by tracking/gathering relevant details.
Sales Support
- Proactively notify Account Managers of pending renewals;
- Develop renewal contracts including those with add-on services.
Partner Relationships
- Engage with partners to support the processing of contracts including renewals;
- Associate partner costs to contracts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- Proven experience in pre-sales operations, contract management, or technical writing within IT services.
- Strong understanding of network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity concepts
- 3 years of professional work experience required, preferably in IT services;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Great attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience with managed services models and service-level agreements (SLAs) is a plus.
- Ability to organize and track information in spreadsheets;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative;
- Ability to adhere to established processes but can effectively implement new tools and processes;
- Proficient in MS Office (Required: Outlook, Excel, Word);
