Position Summary

As a Solutions Engineer you will be a key player on our presales team, acting as the technical champion for our valued customers. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions, focusing on secure network design, architecture, and strategy. You will work closely with sales teams, customers, and partners to deliver compelling solutions that address complex networking and cybersecurity challenges. You'll leverage your in-depth product knowledge and industry expertise to design and deliver winning solutions that solve our clients' unique challenges.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Collaborate with sales team to understand customer pain points, business objectives and design secure, scalable network, security, cloud infrastructure, storage, and compute
  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls to gather comprehensive information about client requirements
  • Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops for clients and prospects
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, addressing client questions and concerns with confidence
  • Architect solutions involving firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, NAC, Zero Trust, cloud, and hybrid cloud security integrations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance on cloud strategy, cost optimization, and security
  • Support proof-of-concept (PoC) deployments and guide customers through onboarding and implementation
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to ensure technical feasibility and BOM accuracy
  • Generate statements of work for solution delivery
  • Support the onboarding and implementation process for new customers, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Continuously gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements. Develop project documentation including bills of material, service estimates, statements of work, high-level project plans, architecture designs, and operational training material
  • Provide detailed knowledge transfer of emerging technology solutions to the post-sales engineering team

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface at varying and appropriate levels of management
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to break down technical concepts into business terms
  • Well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity
  • Demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative, self-starter
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, cybersecurity, and presales solutions architecture
  • Proven track record of success in developing and delivering technical solutions to potential customers
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless), security technologies (firewall, IDS/IPS/VPNs, endpoint protection), cybersecurity and risk management concepts
  • Experience with leading vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper, Extreme, Arista, and HPE Aruba/GreenLake, VMware, Nutanix
  • Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPPA, PCI-DSS)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with vendor configurators and sizing tools for the platforms supported
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud security models
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
  • Hands on experience with network monitoring, threat detection and incident response tools

 

 

Education  & Experience 

  • 5+ years experience as an IT professional, working hands on designing, configuring, of network technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or IT-related field or comparable experience
  • Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, CEH, HPE ASE/MASE, VMware or other relevant cybersecurity certifications and vendor-specific credentials are highly desirable
  • Strong technology consulting skills are preferred; Understand and translate customer business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, customer facing environment
