Consultant - Graphic Design for Internal Report - Remote

The Gender Team leads efforts to ensure that Mercy Corps reaches our ambitious gender equality and social inclusion goals in our programs. The gender team leads the development of strong proposals and concept notes to ensure the integration of gender and social inclusion at all phases of the program cycle; and it sets strategic direction for organizational systems and processes to be sensitive to gender and social inclusion.
Purpose / Project Description:
The Gender Team recently completed internal Gender Equality, Diversity and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) reviews in two country offices (Ethiopia and Nigeria). A 117-page report summarizing key findings and recommendations for both teams has been drafted. The team is seeking a graphic designer to transform the content into a document format that is visually appealing, easy to read and ready for online publishing, and printing.
- Design a layout
- Design illustrations and graphics, as needed, to visually communicate concepts and ideas
- Final document in PDF format for website and print publication.
MC estimates that the assignment should take approximately 30 hours to complete.

Senior Advisor Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, HQ based
Required Experience and Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience in relevant technical field
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- Experience as a graphic designer or in related field
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools
- A strong eye for visual composition
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism
- Experience with computer-aided design
- Layout skills
- Attention to detail
