ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains and enhances customer relations through continuous communications and personal visits. Ensures Area Logistics Managers are servicing primary, secondary and target accounts.

Ensures compliance of government regulations in negotiation of rates by following required guidelines and maintains regional rate integrity of customers by negotiating rate increases.

Contributes to program effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action and implementing directives. 

Assists in the creation of department action plans that support the company's strategic business plan. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training. Ensures company confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Prefer degree in BSBA or a broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, sales/marketing, business administration, finance, etc.  Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 2 year related management of related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
