Systems and Infrastructure Engineer I We are hiring for a Systems and Infrastructure Engineer in our North Little Rock, AR office. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all cloud and on-premises systems and infrastructure within the company as directed by the IT Mgmt., as well as the establishment and operations of network infrastructure.  If your background includes the above skill sets and you have excellent customer service skills, please apply! 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and perform the requisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises systems and infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware hypervisors, routers, switches, firewalls, and storage arrays.
  • Manage user profiles and access rights, ensuring adequate overall physical and logical security measures are in effect and followed. Monitor the performance and utilization of systems and infrastructure, ensuring proper utilization, performance, and highest availability of resources. 
  • Support the corporate and department objectives relating to all Disaster Recovery, Data Governance, and Data Integrity policies. Ensure that proper data backups are completed, labeled, rotated, and stored offsite. Ensure that data recovery is always available and reliable from data backups and stored securely.
  • Respond to IT help desk calls/requests, document progress to calls/requests and provide the proper support necessary to handle the calls/requests in a timely manner. Provide technical and general support to all company personnel as required. 
  • Assist in creation and accomplishment of the IT Department action plans and all Maverick Department action plans that support the company's strategic business objectives.  Maintain systems and infrastructure security for user profiles, user access, data access, network access, and hardware access.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.  Mentor and train junior administrators to facilitate team cross-collaboration and training.  Ensure company confidentiality.  
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  IT industry work experience of at least 6-12 months with a Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service focus required. Microsoft certification of an AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate or a similar/higher level Microsoft Azure-focused certification required. Current or prior experience with VMware vCenter hypervisor management required. 
 
Preferred Software Skills: Advanced: Knowledge of network firewall concepts.  Knowledge of routing and switching concepts.  Knowledge of Google Chrome and MS Edge browsers.  Knowledge of Linux distribution server operating systems.  Knowledge of Microsoft Autopilot for device provisioning.  Knowledge and experience in working in a Windows Co-Managed environment.  Knowledge of cloud only AADJ endpoint management environment.  Knowledge of cloud server virtualization and security concepts.  Knowledge of server and infrastructure monitoring concepts.  Knowledge of the Windows 10/11 operating systems.  Knowledge of the Windows Server operating systems.  Strong knowledge of PC hardware and system configurations.  Strong knowledge of MS Intune Expert knowledge.  Windows 10/11 Server OS upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation.  Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra and Group Policy administration.
