Breakdown Coordinator (Hybrid Workplace) We are immediately hiring for a Breakdown Coordinator within our Maintenance Department.  If your background includes diesel technician experience, data processing, administrative experience or related experience and you have excellent customer service skills, please apply!    
Responsibilities   
  • Time effective reception of breakdowns for drivers who have mechanical breakdowns, DOT violations, and other emergency issues where they are in need of roadside assistance. Work with drivers and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicate real time updates to the necessary parties to include: ETAs and accurate timelines, vendor driver correspondence, parts/labor costing, and any delays and reasons for them are communicated.
  • Ensure company policies are being met on repairs and ensure obtain accurate information is input into maintenance software. Read maps through portals/telematics to help direct breakdown assistance and drive completion.
  • Supervision, communication, and direction involved in any accidents, load shifts, cargo breakage/cleanup. Assists in the creation and accomplishment of department action plans that support the company's strategic business plan.
 
The following shift is available:     
  • Weekend: Friday-Sunday: 7am-8pm

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED PLUS additional education in a specialized field (vocational trade school, two-year college, etc.) plus 1-2 years related experience and/or training. Prefer one year of mechanical or road assistant experience and at least a "B" Level Technician or equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

WORKING CONDITIONS 
Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
