Regional Fleet Manager We have an immediate opening for a Regional Fleet Manager position in North Little Rock, AR.  If your background includes driver management focus and the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with drivers and other employees to make sure that we provide an environment to successfully retain drivers on the account while still meeting revenue goals, please apply! 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership and direction for a group of regional drivers. Ensure optimum utilization of company assets while meeting the daily needs of the customer. Work closely with the drivers and team leaders to grow the business, while at the same time control costs. Be the direct liaison between the account and Maverick, ensuring information is shared effectively.
  • Must have solid understanding of the regional pay model along with computing regional linehaul estimates. Ensure accuracy of driver pay and be proactive in making corrections if needed. Work with team lead to help drivers achieve linehaul revenue goals.

Duties:

  • Manage, assign, delegate, and direct duties of staff.  Appraise performance, coach, counsel, reward, and discipline employees.  Maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts.  Terminate drivers, if necessary. Support and enforce operational and personnel policies, company programs, and procedures.
  • Communicate with extended services on after hours events as needed. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.  Ensures company confidentiality. 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prefer a broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.  Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months of related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
