Production Technician 2 - FULL-TIME PAINT TECHNICIANS

  • $17.50 hour
  • $1.50 SHIFT PREMIUM FOR 3RD SHIFT
  • NO HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED REQUIRED

Paint Tech experience preferred.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: 
Perform in any Tech 2 job that is needed, involving components and subassemblies rejected by production technicians and quality assurance. To perform semi-skilled assembly, machine operation, and general production and/or warehouse activity

TYPICAL DUTIES: 
Assembly of components and sub-components, which includes manual or automated operation of machinery or tools. Work requires extended periods of standing or repetitive motion such as gripping, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing or pulling. Examples: use of air actuated tools, paint guns; placement of parts in fixtures, packing parts in shipping containers, placing parts on belts & conveyors, the retrieval of parts from machines to rack or bin. Moving materials & products to & from the work area which involves lifting.  For example, lifting totes, boxes or material bins from pallets to the work surface. Insure quality of product. Method of operation also requires periodic cross-training & movement from simple assembly to machine operation. Environmental factors include exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, noise or vibration. Work requires daily cleaning of equipment and fixtures. Work requires troubleshooting, problem solving, and some Mechanical troubleshooting skills. Record keeping, manually or by data entry, daily production reports, process checklists, time- keeping, scrap & reject results or machine time.

Physical requirements as set out above. Basic grammar & math skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work a standard forty hour week with overtime as required by management.
