Description

As a quality technician, you will be responsible for conducting testing procedures within the manufacturing process as well as the finished products to ensure products and processes conform to Company standards as well as applicable law. 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspection of receiving, in-process, finished goods, rework parts, sorted parts, and sample parts by use of lab equipment and basic QA inspection tools.
  • Visual inspection, data collection, random sampling, by use of devices such as calipers, scales, drawings, gages or fixtures.
  • Assist manufacturing and engineering in troubleshooting problem areas.
  • Analyze, disposition and report on internal rejected, sorted and rework material.
  • Data entry into PC to maintain QA non-nettable and manufacturing nettable locations. Data entry in PC for controlling disposition and inventory control of rejected material. 
  • Coordinate disposition part released from the non-nettable locations to nettable locations by inventory transactions, audits, verification of MRB disposition, and updates by data entry to QA Database.
  • Management notification when customer complaints received or suspect material has been identified.
  • Assist with safe launch activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

LANGUAGES: English fluent

EXPERIENCES:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing Quality role…… or similar role

CAPABILITIES (Marelli Behaviors and Technical Skills) / CULTURAL FIT

  • Ability to read drawings, proficiency in layout, and competence in math is necessary.
  • Ability to use PC for data collection, e-mail, internal e-mail and inventory transactions.
  • Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers (internal and external) on all shifts at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work a standard forty hour week with overtime as required.

Note: This position will train on 1st shift and the transition to the off shift in 1-2 months.
