Who we are

Lordco Parts Ltd. began in 1974 and since then has grown to become the largest auto parts retailer in Western Canada. Lordco is an owner operated, family run business that has expanded to include 86 retail locations, 7 distribution centers, 3 machine shops and a myriad of specialty divisions that include High Performance, RV and Marine, Truck Accessories, Equipment, Paint and Body, Import and Industrial Supplies.

The business landscape is always changing and Lordco plans to maintain a leadership position by investing in and aggressively leveraging technology to enable and support our business.  We’re currently at the beginning of a large digital enterprise transformation and we’re looking for talented, passionate people to join our team. Our IT team is looking to grow by 50% over the next few years.

What we offer

This a full-time position located at our Maple Ridge Head Office. Compensation is very competitive based on the Vancouver market and will be negotiated as it pertains to your experience. Employment includes our incredible full benefits package as well as our RRSP matching program.

What you bring

  • Extensive experience as a software and/or business analyst
  • The ability to excel at identifying and understanding business problems and a proven track record in translating those problems into requirements for working solutions
  • The understanding that technology is a business enabler first and foremost
  • The mindset of that of a role model for service
  • The aptitude to get your hands dirty, take responsibility, and make things happen
  • Familiarity with modern retail IT architecture, development practices, and retail business concepts such as advanced inventory planning, merchandising technologies, supply chain technologies, retail analytics, etc. is an asset
  • A strong background developing applications in current programming languages like C# and Java

What you possess

  • 5+ years of combined professional analysis and development within an enterprise environment
  • A diploma or degree in computer science
  • Strong communication skills that enable IT to partner with business partners on new initiatives
  • Experience in a retail IT environment

  • A portfolio that showcases your strong project management experience
  • Knowledge and experience in writing and analyzing database queries
