Position at Leman Manhattan Preparatory School

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Technology Integrator and WonderLab Facilitator to join our school community. This position combines hands-on technology instruction with collaborative curriculum integration, fostering creative problem-solving and digital literacy skills in students aged PK4 through 5th grade.

Primary Responsibilities

Direct Instruction

  • Design and teach engaging technology and makerspace classes that develop age-appropriate digital skills and maker mindsets
  • Create and maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring makerspace environment
  • Develop project-based learning experiences that encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking
  • Document Assess and document student progress in technology skills and maker activities

 

Curriculum Integration

  • Partner with classroom teachers to integrate technology meaningfully into their existing curriculum
  • Co-plan and co-teach lessons that enhance core subject areas through technology
  • Support teachers in identifying and implementing appropriate digital tools and resources
  • Collaborate with the Director of Educational Technology to plan and lead professional development and coaching to faculty on educational technology integration

 

Program Management

  • Maintain and manage WonderLab equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Stay current with educational technology trends and maker education best practices
  • Evaluate and recommend technology tools and resources for classroom use
  • Maintain documentation of curriculum implementation, including projects completed, technology skills taught, and integration strategies used



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Education, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students
  • Demonstrated experience with maker education and/or technology integration
  • Strong understanding of age-appropriate technology skills and maker activities
  • Experience with common educational technology tools and platforms
  • Commitment to equity and justice, including knowledge and skills related to cultural competencies
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Educational Technology, Education, or related field
  • Experience managing a makerspace or similar learning environment
  • Experience working in an educational or innovation-focused environment, with a strong understanding of design thinking, project-based learning, and STEM education principles.
