The Sr, Manager/Director of Sales Strategy & Ops position is a full-time remote role offering a competitive salary of $150K to $200K as well as a comprehensive performance based bonus package based on experience and geographic location.
The Sr. Manager/Director of Sales Strategy & Operations will play a pivotal role in optimizing our sales strategy and operations to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth. This role will be responsible for managing and enhancing sales processes, optimizing tools and technologies, and overseeing the development and administration of commission and incentive programs. You will work closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to support our sales force in meeting and exceeding targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and refine sales strategies to drive new logo acquisition and expand outbound sales efforts. Analyze performance data to identify growth opportunities and create data-driven recommendations for sales strategy improvements.
- Sales Operations & Enablement:
- Oversee and optimize day-to-day sales operations, including lead generation, pipeline management, sales forecasting, opportunity management, forecasting and other KPI metrics. Collaborate with sales leaders to ensure effective onboarding, training, and enablement of the sales team.
- Commission & Incentive Programs:
- Design, implement, and manage commission and incentive programs to drive high performance. Develop competitive compensation plans aligned with company goals, ensuring clarity, motivation, and fairness for team members focused on new logo acquisition and outbound efforts.
- Sales Process Optimization:
- Continually assess and improve sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure alignment with industry best practices and adapt as needed to support evolving business needs.
- Outbound Sales:
- Develop and execute effective outbound sales strategies, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling. Continuously optimize outbound sales processes to improve conversion rates and productivity.
- Sales Tools & Technology Management:
- Optimize and manage sales tools, including Salesforce, Apollo, and Outreach, to drive productivity and enable sales success. Provide support and training to ensure teams are maximizing the use of available technologies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Support and Finance teams to align on strategy, insights, and objectives. Support a seamless and cohesive approach to lead generation, sales enablement, and customer experience.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track, analyze, and report on key sales metrics to provide insights and guide decision-making. Prepare regular updates for senior leadership on sales performance, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; (MBA a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in sales strategy, operations, or sales enablement, preferably within a B2B or SaaS environment
- Proven experience with sales commission, incentives, and compensation design.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Apollo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other AI sales technologies
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
