We’re looking for a visionary Director of Technical Delivery to lead and inspire our technical delivery team. This leader will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of technical projects and initiatives that push the boundaries of what’s possible in hosting and cloud solutions. As the Director of Technical Delivery, you’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the high level of quality our clients expect from Liquid Web.

 

This is a permanent, full-time, remote direct hire position with a pay range of $110k - $150K annually.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Be “the go-to person” for the most complex IT Project Management assignments
  • Delegate project tasks based on individual strengths, abilities, and experience levels of staff members
  • Implement disaster recovery and backup procedures
  • Manage/direct one or more varied teams of individuals from all aspects of the organization
  • Anticipate project requirements and ensure goals are met
  • Benchmark operations against industry and identify functional performance levels
  • Forecast requirements and work to meet those requirements within the constraints of provided budget and timelines.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and drive standardized project management methodologies 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
  • Ensure that all policies, new products, changes are identified and documented
  • Continuously identify and implement efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
  • Be responsible for the employee life cycle including; disciplinary actions, performance reviews, goal reaching activities, fostering a positive environment, following company policies, etc.
  • Manage relevant partnership and licensing agreements and ensure compliances
  • Participate in the incident management process

 

Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of certifications and/or experience
  • 10+ years technical project management experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Sufficient level of technical aptitude to effectively assess and communicate any technical risks or challenges
  • Able to present ideas, collaborate effectively, and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Creativity and flexibility to facilitate leveraging solutions for positive outcomes
  • Strong perspective, understanding, and sensitivity towards business needs and hurdles
  • Exceptional multitasking skills while maintaining a fine attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise flexibility to quickly change priorities as needed
  • Excellent, clear, and concise communication skills, both oral and written

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • PMP certification
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience
