How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:

The Senior Payroll Specialist supports the corporate payroll function and all related processes to ensure pay and payroll-related benefits are processed accurately, timely and in compliance with federal, state and local requirements, as well as company policy.

What you’ll do:

  • Payroll Management: Facilitates the bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll process for over 1,400+ employees across all of the U.S., including resolving discrepancies and posting to the general ledger. Ensures proper calculation of all aspects of employee pay including, but not limited to, commission payments, bonus payments, tax withholdings, and taxable fringe benefits. Ensures accurate and timely processing of employee updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Maintains employee data related to garnishments, support orders and other special payroll deductions and process according to regulatory requirements. Processes off-cycle and manual checks including final paychecks and special payments. Provides excellent customer service support to internal and external customers researching and responding to inquiries of employees and management as they relate to processing of payroll information such as time off, direct deposit setup, and pay calculations. Processes Payroll Correction forms for adjustments to pay including retroactive transactions to ensure adherence to FLSA regulations. Serves as a backup to the Supervisor, Payroll for system configuration knowledge and requirements. Creates and provides detail and summary reporting to meet department and management needs on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Time & Attendance Management: Monitor the Time & Attendance reporting process ensuring

timesheet completion and approval for the bi-weekly payroll process. Performs audits of timesheets to ensure compliance with company policy and governmental regulations. Maintains system configuration of application with employee schedules and shift templates. Researches and investigates questions and issues from employees and managers regarding employee worked time, pay codes and time off. Serves as a backup to the Supervisor, Payroll for system configuration knowledge and requirements.

  • Compliance: Maintains knowledge of and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government (IRS and Department of Labor) reporting and regulatory requirements including facilitating related filings and payments. Prepare and provide support and schedules as required for various audits and tax filings. Serves as a full back-up to Supervisor, Payroll for compliance requirements.

 

What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • High school diploma
  • Five (5) years of experience in Payroll Administration
  • Three (3) years of experience using any Payroll/ Time Management Applications

 

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Two (2) years of experience processing over 500 employees
  • Two (2) years of experience in multi-state payroll processing
  • One (1) year of experience using ADP

Salary: $22.40 - $29.87/ hour

 

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $22.40 hourly (entry-level qualifications) to $29.87 hourly (experienced in this role).

 

* Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.

 

This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
