How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:

 

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join us as the Vice President of Research & Development. This critical role will lead our talented team of scientists and researchers, guiding cutting-edge research and development initiatives that align with our strategic goals.

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and inspire a team of world-class scientists, fostering an environment of creativity and innovation.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and market needs.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, CTO, Product Development and Marketing teams to integrate scientific research with product commercialization strategies.
  • Oversee the management of R&D projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest scientific standards.
  • Stay abreast of scientific advancements and competitive landscapes to steer the company’s strategic direction in technology and product offerings.
  • Communicate research progress and outcomes to stakeholders and at scientific, regulatory, and industry forums.

 

What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in an industry or academic-based management position.
  • Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated technical experience in medical device, regenerative medicine, and bioengineering.

 

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:

  • MBA from an accredited college or university.
  • Fifteen (15) years of management experience.
  • Ten (10) years of previous management experience in Research and Development, medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or a related industry.
  • Ten (10) years of previous experience with cell biology and/or stem cell biology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with allograft, tissue banking, medical device, and research & development.

 

These would be nice too (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):

  • Demonstrated knowledge- broad knowledge of tissue engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in presentation skills & communication.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of research study design and execution.

Salary: $231,973 - $386,261 / annually

*The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications and prior relevant experience.  The pay range for this position is $227,424 annually (entry- level qualifications) to $303,232 hourly/ annually (experienced in this role). *

 

*Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.

 

This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
