Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and highly skilled Front End Supervisor to oversee the end-to-end development of our web-based projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, proven leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to lead teams in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable websites and web applications. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the delivery of projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continually Improve the talent, loyalty, and empathy of our team of front-end developers (FED) and website support technicians:

  • Coordinate with your manager, other supervisors, Development Team members, and Account Managers to ensure website builds and custom projects exceed client expectations, and meet business goals.

  • Communicate with Account Managers and clients to inform them about the progress of custom projects, and project estimates and quotes.

  • Oversee and improve website support fulfillment best practices and documentation.

  • Work with Account Managers to help them understand best practices and system or coding limitations, and how to enhance task creation to improve current project workflow, speed, and accuracy of estimates.

  • Take ownership of assigned management zones: website and page builds, HTML/CSS and jQuery, UX/UI design and testing.

  • Maintain the Code Lab and other documentation to establish rules, organization, and best practices that improve the quality and efficiency of the FED and support team’s work.

  • Regularly review processes for quality and efficiency, and FED tasks (on a weekly basis), including site and page builds, and website support tasks.

  • Ensure FEDs regularly comment their code, or otherwise organize and maintain backups and accessibility for other design team members.

    You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
  • 5+ years relevant experience, preferred

  • Previous experience in leadership and people management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate with remote teams in different time zones

  • Responsive Web Design experience

  • Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3

  • Knowledge of CSS preprocessors

  • Advanced Knowledge of JavaScript

  • Excellent UI Sense

  • Familiar with cross-platform and cross-browser issues

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, and organize
