Starting Salary: $60,000 (adjustable based on experience) + Bonus

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible and accountable for providing accurate and timely financial information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers with general ledger at month end.
  • Analyze corporate balance sheet accounts monthly / quarterly.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for various corporate entities.
  • Roll forward and edit budget templates each year for assigned entities.
  • Providing investors with requested financial information monthly / quarterly.
  • Assist with processing monthly uploads into our accounting system.
  • Work as a liaison with Construction, Legal and Development departments; providing analysis and variance explanations while helping promote teamwork.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations between corporate and other entities / properties.
  • Reconcile and record weekly cash activity for various corporate entities.
  • Coordinate with corporate accounts payable to properly code and process invoices for payment.
  • Preparation of work papers / answering 3rd party accountant questions regarding annual audit and tax returns.
  • Primary back up for other corporate tasks and responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science) in Accounting required.
  • 1-3 years of Public Accounting experience preferred, but not required.
  • 1-5 years of overall experience.
  • Experience in real estate / property management preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
  • Proactive and independent approach to research and problem solving
  • Language Skills - Ability to read, write, interpret and analyze legal documents, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to write and interpret reports, correspondence and manuals. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external clients to maximize performance and drive results.
  • Math Skills - Ability to work with concepts such as probability, statistical inference and fundamentals of geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to situations.
  • Reasoning Skills - Ability to define issues, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in various forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills Beginning / Intermediate experience with MS Office. Fundamental working knowledge of general ledger accounting software. Microsoft Excel experience required!
