JOB TITLE: HOSPITALITY INTERN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Communicate with Property Manager to understand daily and weekly priorities
• Walk models and amenity areas to maintain and ensure spaces are tidy and orderly.
• Walk vacant units to ensure spaces are tidy, orderly and ready for show and/or occupancy.
• Assist in planning, marketing, preparing for and hosting resident events.
• Greet customers when working from leasing office.
• Answer basic customer questions related to the property.
• Assist team members with outreach marketing to local business and preferred employers.
• Maintain orderliness of coffee supplies in resident coffee bar.
• Maintain orderliness of pool area and roof top deck and by periodically resetting furniture after resident use.
• Periodically shop comp properties to provide understanding of sub-market to Property Manager.
• .Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree program related to Hospitality, Real Estate, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Business. Completion of a minimum of 3 semesters.
• Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions, simple correspondence and present
information one-on-one or in small groups.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide by 10s & 100s
• Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions with common sense understanding.
Ability to deal with problems that involve few variables in standardized situations.
• Beginner computer skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Regularly must stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or bend.
• Regularly must lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use all cleaning equipment.
• Occasionally must talk or hear.
• Occasionally must lift 25 pounds or more with assistance
• Rarely must sit, climb or balance.
• Rarely must lift more than 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Normally works in an environment with moderate noise.
• Primarily will work indoors year-round.
• Will regularly spend time in outdoor weather conditions while moving about the property for basic job functions.
• Occasionally must work in conditions that are wet or humid, extremely cold or extremely hot (nonweather), near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles.
• Rarely must work in high, precarious places, near toxic or caustic chemicals, with risk of electrical shock, with vibration.
• There is no risk of radiation or working with explosives.
