Dimensional Engineering Technician

Description

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Dimensional Engineering Technician who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location.  This person will report to Quality Lab Supervisor. 
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Maintain equipment and software for Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Program CMM to measure dimensional characteristics of parts, including interface to SPC software
  • Interpret blueprints, including application of advanced GD&T techniques
  • Recommend measuring techniques for dimensional characteristics
  • Assist in the design of gaging fixtures
  • Perform all of the dimensional duties of a Quality Assurance Process Control Technician
  • Assist Production, Tooling, and Engineering personnel in maintaining dimensional process control and in problem prevention
  • May require manual CMM measurements
 
Qualifications
  • Necessary computer skills
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Zeiss CMM programming experience and/or formal training
  • 3 years’ experience preferred
  • Manufacturing environment work experience
 
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
