Mailroom Support

32 hours / Week

 

Role Description

 

The Mailroom representative ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items.  This is a permanent 32 hour per week role.  

 

Core Responsibilities

 

Shipping/Receiving

  • Stamping Canada Post mail.
  • Filing branch mail.
  • Dispersing incoming mail.
  • Picking and packaging of orders.
  • General mailroom/loading dock cleanup.
  • General shipping/receiving.
  • Track lost packages.

 

Printing

  • Trouble shooting and general maintenance on mailroom equipment.
  • Copy required documents for all Vernon Office Departments.
  • Print required materials for all Vernon Office Departments.

 

Administration

  • High volume of telephone communication.
  • Retaining product/promotion information for items shipped to Kal Tire locations.
  • Retaining information regarding Kal Tire locations and appropriate managers/salesmen.
  • Daily banking runs and other errands.

 

 

Vernon Office Services

  • Maintain Vernon Office boardrooms (ensure supplies are stocked & manage inventory).
  • Maintain Vernon Office printing/copy stations (ensure supplies are stocked & manage inventory).
  • Maintain Vernon Office coffee stations (ensure supplies are stocked & manage inventory)

 

 

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months’ relatable experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to weigh and measure items.
  • Working knowledge of safe packing methods.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Education:

  • Grade 12 or GED equivalent

 

Special Requirements:

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
  • This job requires one to be on their feet all day with the ability to lift 50 pounds
