Senior Communication Specialist

KAI Partners, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Communications Specialist with a focus on Organizational Change Management for operations in the greater Sacramento area. 

This is a hybrid remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide communication strategy development for program operations (Pro Ops) and its constituent divisions, while ensuring the communications team executes strategy effectively.
  • Participate in a two-way communication workgroup, ensuring communication strategies align with program operations (Pro Ops) leadership goals.
  • Develop agendas and lead bi-weekly communications meetings, providing editorial oversight to all communication team deliverables, and creating executive-level communications for Pro Ops leadership.
  • Manage business processes, operational excellence, converting benefit (HC) to operations, dealing with crisis management implementations, and connecting to strategy, and project management.
  • Possess exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking, and active listening while maintaining the voice of the organization and stakeholders.
  • Draft speeches and talking points for key stakeholders and summaries following organizational news.
  • Use best writing, messaging, and editing practices for business correspondence including newsletters, articles, blog posts, and announcements.
  • Collaborate and effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments to share, accept, and incorporate ideas into strategies and draft communications.
  • Understand crisis management, and consult with executive management to develop effective communication procedures and policies for various situations or crises.
  • Demonstrate project management skills including time management, goal setting, multitasking, and prioritization; good data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Conduct communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies and campaigns. 
  • Assumes other duties, as assigned.  

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to plan and organize tasks and projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate meetings for up to 600 people.
  • Ability to establish and put into practice efficient communication strategies.
  • Provide recommendations for improving processes and implementing changes using business process improvement (BPI) while possessing some knowledge of the vocabulary, methods, and tools.
  • Lead and manage projects with multiple stakeholders and project dependencies.
  • Ability to communicate, problem-solve and identify the root cause. 
  • Self-motived, driven, and comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills. 

Work/Education Experience:

  • Five years of experience in communications, and client-centric service/client relationship management.
  • 10+ years of system integration experience.
  • High degree of business process management (BPM) background ideally domain master of lean, Lean Six Sigma, and business process. (Mandatory) 
  • Business process management (BPM), strategy, and healthcare benefits administration facilitation. (Mandatory)
  • Experience working in the state and public sector. (Mandatory)
  • Experience working in the healthcare sector. (Mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s Degree. (Preferred) 
  • Prosci Certification. (Preferred)  

Compensation Range: $107,000 - $146,000

The salary range for this role may vary depending on the specific geographic location where this position is ultimately filled. Several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, and certifications, pay equity, and organizational needs, are considered when determining the posted salary range. In addition, eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
