We are currently seeking a "Product Trainer".  This important role in the Worldwide Training organization will contribute to building out the training programs through instructional design, training development and training delivery best practices.  If you have a technical background in the design, installation, and configuration of solar and energy storage equipment, and an interest in teaching others the tricks of the trade, we want to hear from you!
  • Develop sales and technical product training curricula for customers, in cooperation with product development and sales teams.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver training to customers in order to support the sales and installation of  Storage, and new product launches.
  • Maintain training materials, electrical equipment and facilities for ongoing training delivery in regions.
  • Continuously assure full understanding of the Client's products, customer requirements and competitor offerings and communicate the value and power of Client solutions.
  • Co-develop a training organization with peers across the region.
  • Travel To and From Training Facilities in the Puerto Rico Market and Mainland US
  • Bi-Lingual and Fluent in Spanish, and English

What will you be doing?

  • Conducting training classes by presenting job-specific and company-specific training to the installation partners
  • Demonstrating hands-on use of hardware and software tools and applications
  • Understanding the customers’ processes and procedures and modifying training approach(es) to promote the adoption of best practices for operational efficiency
  • Acting as liaison between our customers and the broader Client's organization to ensure that customers’ needs are incorporated into training and product designs
  • Managing a mobile classroom training van from regular vehicle maintenance to inventory maintenance

What you will need to do it well:

  • You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • You analyze customer workflows to understand and develop targeted student learning objectives
  • You prepare and conduct technical training programs in-person and via webinar
  • You engage students in a hands-on, lab-based learning environment where multiple activities may be in process at anytime
  • You are comfortable working with technical experts to understand products, processes and customer needs
  • You create assessment tools to evaluate student learning competencies and adjust training approaches to address competency gaps
  • You represent the Client in a positive and professional light in all your communications with our installation partners
  • You demonstrate extreme attention to details, schedules and schedule related communications
  • You are willing to stand by best practices and clearly articulate why they are critical to operational efficiency and success
  • You think on your feet, and creatively solve problems on the fly
  • You provide consistent feedback to headquarters about additional training and development needs to be encountered in the field

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or certification in area of specialty 
  • 4+ years of experience in solar energy training and/or installation
  • 2+ years of experience in energy storage system configuration and implementation
  • Demonstrated expertise in computer network setup and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of instructional design concepts and principles and ability to create content
  • Experience with Client solutions preferred - will explain
  • Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines
  • Work both independently and within a team
  • Willing to travel to help expand our training capabilities
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
