Job Description

We are currently hiring a Staff Accountant  to join our crew. This individual will be a key member of our growing finance organization and will be responsible for the invoicing and billing of clients. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the General Accounting and our internal collections department, to integrate solutions to meet operational and financial goals. 

Responsibilities: 

• Support month end close process with preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis in a timely manner
• Utilize our in house accounting software - AccountingSeed 
• Generate invoices specific to customer accounts
• Apply customer payments in accounting system and reconcile as needed
• Provide ad-hoc account and vendor-level reporting to the Executive Team
• Receive internal expense reports, implement necessary validations, and execute transactions efficiently
• Process A/P bills and ensure accurate coding and approvals
• Communicate with vendors on various topics including vendor setup, payment requests and vendor account reconciliations
• Track urgent A/P requests and advise priority level
• Assist with year-end 1099 processing
• Assist with annual audit

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5 years of accounting experience
• Ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Salesforce Accounting Seed or similar ERP platform preferred, but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• Highly detail oriented and organized with ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Proactive and independent
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Additional Information

• Location: Nashville Office or Remote
• $30 - $35 per hour
• 20 hours per week
