Digital Writer

We are currently hiring a Digital Writer who is a strategic thinker with a profound understanding of voice and brand. The role will be highly collaborative and requires strong interpersonal skills. 


You will be responsible for researching, writing, developing, editing, and publishing content and copy for a variety of digital platforms, including websites, blogs, videos, email marketing campaigns, whitepapers, e-guides, infographics, ads, and more. 


The ideal candidate will have a background in SEO strategies and best practices, digital writing, and storytelling. You will work with staff to plan out and execute our content roadmap. You’ll possess a thorough knowledge of SEO, keyword planners, Google Trends, content material, experience using content management systems and managing/editing websites, and digital marketing. This is an opportunity to leave your mark on the JumpCrew websites and landing pages, and provide unique content.  



  • Create content that motivates, inspires, entertains, educates, and informs, across our platforms. 
  • Use your knowledge of SEO to create digital content that helps reach audiences via search engines, and showcases JumpCrew and our customers as the leaders within the industry.
  • Conduct keyword research, create and publish content 
  • Create and schedule email content 
  • Collaborate with the staff - SEO, design, social, and email to determine cohesive content.
  • Brainstorm and develop content that garners a high volume of users and page views, video views, and social engagements and encourages awareness and excitement around our military brands.
  • Work with staff to brainstorm content topics and then create templates for in-house contributors and freelancers.
  • Identify opportunities to develop clusters of content around high-volume search term topics.
  • Create impactful editorial content for the website and newsletters.
  • Identify and report daily military news stories, press releases, innovations, and trends.



  • 2-4 years of digital media or digital writing experience.
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape and how to leverage those resources to build readership and online engagement.
  • Strong understanding of writing templatized high-volume search term blog content.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and strategies.
  • Experience with Google Trends, Apple News, Google News, or other trend analytics tools is a plus.
  • Experience with building and scheduling emails, and maintaining audience lists in an email management system.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS coding is a plus. 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-starting, team player with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
