Contract - Air Host(ess)
Summary:
The Air Host or Hostess will provide all cabin service duties meeting the needs of passengers and crew, except for safety sensitive functions.
- Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide passenger service as requested, directed, or needed by the passengers including ordering, preparing and serving all food and refreshments.
- Assist qualified crewmembers in the stowage of passenger baggage.
- Assist qualified crewmembers in boarding and seating passengers.
- Assist the flight crew, as directed.
- Occupy the cockpit Jump Seat or a passenger seat for takeoff and landing, as briefed by the PIC.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team
- CPR/First Aid/AED trained and certified
- Ability to remain professional in all situations and with all personality types
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its customers'
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to work with frequent changes in procedures, directions, and schedules
- Ability to work flexible, non-standard hours
Education and Work Experience:
- Minimum 2-year college degree desired
- Minimum 2 years previous customer service experience
- Fluency in multiple languages desired
- Completed Hazardous Material training and TSA 12-5 Security Program
- Completed Asset Training (12-months) for each aircraft to include: Operation of the aircraft’s cabin systems; location, operations and use of all aircraft emergency equipment; and recognizing and reporting aircraft surface contamination.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting of weights up to 30-40 pounds
- Able to function in changing environmental conditions
- Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions
