The Senior Analyst will report to Sr. Manager – PoS & Payment Systems and will be part of the team that is responsible for Application portfolio management and development that focuses on building and configuring software solutions leveraging Payment authorization and settlement systems. This entails: (1) Partnering with senior leadership in, building and implementing technology solutions to solve complex business problems. (2) Actively managing the on-going health and supportability of the portfolio in alignment with IT Ops & Support, (3) Developing high availability, high volume systems to support Authorization portfolio. (4) Partnering with other IT and business teams to deliver end to end technology solutions for JCPenney. The team provides IT solutions to JCP Authorization in Payment systems area.  

Critical Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis, requirement gathering, Story creation, scope management, process improvement, test case creation for medium to large size projects/programs through all phases of the SDLC.
  • Expert and point-of-contact in core business capabilities, processes, and applications for the the POS and the Payments Portfolio.
  • Drive portfolio ownership by working with users to understand strategies and operations in order to develop technology capability roadmaps that are aligned with business/domain roadmaps.
  • Demonstrates breadth and depth of techniques and tools for one or many of the following: use case modeling, data modeling, E2E business process modeling, process mapping, E2E business scenarios.
  • Work with geographically diverse locations.

 Critical Skills & Experiences:

  • Experience in Implementing Payment and POS solutions.
  • Understand Payment echo systems including Authorization, Settlement, Reconciliation, new account acquisition and Back office functions along with Retail POS.
  • Understanding of card present and card not present scenarios.
  • Working knowledge of web based transaction processing.
  • Ability to analyze and query payment data as required.
  • Ability to develop and deliver end-user training and participate in Organization change management (OCM).
  • Expertise in business process mapping, fit-gap analysis, finance business process re-engineering.
  • Ability to understand end to end business processes and support business teams on the process.
  • Expertise in waterfall, iterative and Agile.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
