Presales Solution Architect
Description
OVERVIEW
This role blends capture management with deep technical solution ownership. You will partner with business development and delivery leaders to qualify opportunities, architect integrated solutions, and produce compelling technical narratives. Your focus will be on government mission domains, including cloud adoption, application modernization, facilities management, and grants modernization, while also bringing targeted ServiceNow, AWS, and Databricks solutions. As a trusted leader, you will shape win strategies, lead cross-platform solutioning and pre-sales activities, and ensure technical excellence from capture through delivery transition.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead capture and solution strategy for pursuits across federal IT and mission domains including RFP/RFQ/RFI responses.
· Own the technical and management proposal volumes, crafting compelling, compliant narratives that highlight iTech AG’s discriminators and value.
· Partner with BD, capture, and delivery leadership to qualify opportunities, define win themes, discriminators, price-to-win strategies, and innovative solution approaches, and define winning strategies.
· Lead discovery workshops to uncover business needs and technical requirements with a focus on ServiceNow platform use cases, AWS architectures, and Databricks data modernization.
· Architect solutions leveraging: ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, FSM, HRSD, SPM, PSDS, and custom apps); Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); and Data, analytics, and AI/ML tools including Databricks.
· Facilitate executive-level workshops and technical deep dives to align solutions with mission outcomes and stakeholder needs.
· Support oral proposal presentations, serving as solution lead and pre-sales storyteller, articulating the value of ServiceNow, AWS, and Databricks integrations to evaluators.
· Deliver tailored demos, proofs of concept (POCs), and ROI/value conversations to executive audiences, demonstrating pre-sales excellence and thought leadership.
· Build solution roadmaps that integrate modernization, cybersecurity, interoperability, and long-term O&M sustainment across multi-platform environments.
· Engage and manage technology partners (ServiceNow, AWS, Databricks, Salesforce, Microsoft, etc.) to co-develop and position differentiated offerings.
· Develop compelling proposal graphics, marketing materials, and executive-level PowerPoint presentations to support capture meetings, proposals, and orals.
· Mentor and coach solution contributors (junior architects, proposal writers, SMEs), while building reusable pre-sales solution assets and playbooks.
· Engage with C-level executives and agency leaders to shape opportunities, build consensus, and close deals by demonstrating executive presence, facilitation, and persuasive storytelling.
· Contribute thought leadership through white papers, customer forums, industry events, and internal solution communities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years of federal IT solutioning, capture, and proposal writing, with at least 2 years in pre-sales or solution architecture.
· Proven experience architecting and positioning integrated solutions, a combination of 2+ solutions that can include ServiceNow, AWS, and Databricks solutions for mission-driven modernization programs.
· Strong track record writing and owning technical and management volumes in winning GovCon proposals.
· Demonstrated ability to design, position, and deliver cloud, workflow automation, and data modernization solutions in federal environments.
· Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into mission and business impact.
· Experience presenting to and influencing C-suite and senior federal executives, including during orals and closing phases of competitive procurements.
· Experience in competitive sales cycles, ideally at a ServiceNow partner, AWS consulting partner, or data/AI firm (e.g., Databricks or Snowflake).
· Proven experience architecting and positioning integrated solutions, a combination of 2+ solutions that can include ServiceNow, AWS, and Databricks solutions for mission-driven modernization programs.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 2+ Certifications in ServiceNow (CIS or Architect-level), AWS Solutions Architect, and/or Databricks Data Engineer Associate/Professional

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with and/or certifications in federal standards and frameworks, including FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST RMF, Zero Trust, ITIL, Agile/SAFe, and CMMI.
· Experience in federal mission areas such as grants management, facilities/asset management, case management, logistics, and customer experience modernization.
· Additional certifications in ITIL, SAFe, or security frameworks preferred.
· Experience developing or supporting joint ServiceNow–AWS–Databricks modernization proposals or customer demos.
