Senior Manager, FP&A Long Term Forecasting

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, FP&A of Long Term Forecasting.  You will own the company’s consolidated three statements long-term forecast.  In this high-profile role, you will develop the forecast, ensure its accuracy and explain assumptions and outputs to senior management. You will run scenario analysis to drive decision-making. You will use analysis to explain trends in the business and dimensionalize areas of potential variance in future results.  If you love analysis, are a great financial modeler with attention to detail, have a strong background in accounting knowledge, and good business judgment to develop a sound forecast that accurately reflects the business trajectory given all the known variables, this is the right role for you!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Dimensionalizing all key business trends into a consolidated model and explaining and articulating to senior managers how these trends translate into consolidated results
  • Creating and presenting slides for senior leaders that explain the assumptions, key outputs, underlying drivers behind trends, and range of potential future scenarios
  • Incorporating budgets and quarterly/monthly updates to the forecast from business unit FP&A partners
  • Developing longer-term P&L and KPI forecast based on business drivers
  • Forecasting long-term cash and balance sheets, working closely with the Treasurer to ensure that the short term forecast is informed by the long-term forecast 
  • Ensuring that accounting policies are correctly translated into the forecast 
  • Working with partners in accounting team to ensure that appropriate consolidated forecasts are available for accounting processes requiring accounting input
  • Leverage software and systems to automate portions of model maintenance and ensure consistency 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Accounting/Finance concentration required, MBA preferred
  • 7+ years experience in professional financial practice/corporate finance or accounting, with a heavy emphasis on working on an operational forecast model
  • Strong business insight with a robust understanding of expense management and US GAAP; experience in e-Commerce and internet subscription business models desirable
  • Strong leadership skills: the ability to challenge and influence a variety of stakeholders
  • Solid business acumen and ability to collaborate with partners across the business
  • Able to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence
  • Focused on continuous improvement. Possess passion, energy, enthusiasm to drive results; highly action-oriented
  • Rigorously detail-oriented, always checks work, and takes pride in producing exceptional deliverables 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to influence outcomes across all levels of the organization
  • Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints
  • Flexible and Agile: the ability to adapt quickly and be effective in new situations within a highly dynamic environment
  • Excellent change management skills, i.e. comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, yet able to set priorities and execute on commitments
  • Self-starter who is able to identify and solve problems
  • Strong project management skills
