Position Description:

The Product Director – Critical Infrastructure  will collaborate with new and existing critical infrastructure-access control customers, InVue’s global sales team, regional marketing managers and corporate innovation team to create and manage Access Control product roadmaps, develop, and gain approval for new product requirements and business plans, and lead the organization in the commercialization of these products. In addition, the product director will support the continued platform success of existing portfolio Access Control products.

The Global Product Director is tasked with driving the growth, profitability, and ultimate success of this product platform. The Global Product Director will create and maintain the product lines business plan, detailing market opportunities as well as aligning product value propositions to take advantage of these opportunities. In addition, the Global Product Director will perform market, sales, competitor, and internal profitability analysis.

This hands-on leadership and product management role requires product marketing, road mapping, technology research and development, business development, channel strategy and extensive interaction with our customers and sales team. As the key business champion for the products, the ideal candidate will interface with industry thought leaders, customers, and strategic partners. He/She will also work closely with decision makers in marketing, engineering, and sales leadership to ensure the product line is correctly presented to the market.

The role will be measured on achievement of revenue and margin growth goals of the critical infrastructure-access control category. Continued growth in critical infrastructure markets and new industry verticals are essential to revenue growth achievement.


• Embrace the leadership role of “Product Champion” for InVue’s Access Control product platform
• Manage the entire product line from strategic planning to tactical activities
• Create and articulate a vision for the InVue Access Control product line
• Be the InVue expert on the Access Control-Electronic Lock Industry and how it applies to many critical infrastructure verticals including but not limited to data center, retail, commercial, office, industrial, transportation and healthcare segments
• Develop and execute winning product strategies for the categories as measured by share gain, market position, and revenue growth and profitability
• Drive cradle to execution of the product life cycle for all Access Control segments - taking products from strategy and concept, through the development process and product launch, to a successful ramp and sustained commercial success
• Drive new product development for the Access Control category
• Define product positioning and key product messaging for Access Control products, partner with Marketing on the development of product launch activities, data sheets, and outbound marketing materials
• Approach Product Management from a global perspective, taking into to consideration regional market and technical requirements
• Work with external third parties to assess business development opportunities and expand the InVue
Access Control business beyond the B2B Retail and Data Center sectors
• Energize and educate customers, partners, and sales team about the Access Control product category
• Engage and train direct and indirect global sales channels on new product and category growth initiatives
• Work with global sales team to build key relationships within the retail, data center industry, commercial
businesses, and various other industry segments to ensure that we are in the forefront


• 8+ years of experience in a global product marketing, business development or product category
management roles
• Experience in access control electronic lock industry is HIGHLY preferred; hardware, firmware, IoT
software development knowledge is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science, Design or Engineering discipline is strongly preferred, MBA a plus
• Proven history of impacting business both strategically and tactically
• Strategic business development experience
• Demonstrates international business acumen based on previous global experience
• Effective communication, planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills
• Ability to productively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an emphasis on creating “boardroom quality”

• Excellent voice of customer, customer service and problem resolution skills
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Ability to travel upward of 40%, including international travel
