SAP Logistics Delivery Practice Lead
As Delivery Practice Director at invenioLSI, this person will lead all aspects of the delivery practice, including managing the team of consultants within a specific practice area. This role will consult with the Solution Architects in pre-sales solutions and develop methodologies for implementation and delivery. The ideal candidate must be a team player able to work with sales and pre-sales through presentations, demos, run discovery sessions for SAP opportunities, and provide functional expertise during implementations. The candidate will provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business and showcase value.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead Logistics Practice within the organization, manage a team of delivery consultants on projects and bench.
- Serve as subject matter expert in the area of SAP Ariba with strong knowledge of MM/IM/WM/EAM.
- S/4HANA, S/4HANA Cloud and S/4HANA migration experience preferred.
- Serve in a billable role on engagements as needed.
- Assist in conducting market research.
- Position SAP and LSI products in the market as needed to fulfill customer requirements.
- Direct, mentor and manage a team of solution architects and delivery consultants.
- Assist in proposal development and responses to customer questions.
- Lead demonstrations and workshops with customers to explain SAP Ariba functionality and best practice processes.
- Develop and propagate architecture and implementation best practices and resolve complex design issues.
- Develop implementation accelerators to reduce implementation costs and improve quality.
- Develop pre-configuration and manage projects to configure demonstration systems.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of project work.
- Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying solution in practice area of expertise to client business challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to provide SAP solutions to complex customer business problems to drive business case/savings.
- Build positive and productive relationships with clients.
- Understand client needs and identify new business opportunities.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, needs analysis, positioning/messaging, business value and justification, compelling/closing techniques.
SAP General Skills
- 12+ years of experience in two or more SAP modules or submodules.
- At least four full life-cycle implementation projects (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live).
- Understanding of SAP Activate Methodology.
- Understanding of integration between modules.
- Understanding of concepts of Cloud implementation and integration.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements into SAP functionality, identify fit/gap as well as technical solutions for gaps.
- Understands Module/Application specific SAP functionality as well as integration points with other modules.
- Understands how to utilize SAP’s Functionality/Integration to meet business requirements.
- Effectively plans configuration and master data development.
- Ability to estimate resources needed to meet customer requirements.
SAP Ariba Skills
- Minimum of 5 years Project and Ariba Solutions delivery experience in both Ariba upstream and downstream modules.
- Minimum of 4 full life cycle Ariba implementations.
- Minimum of 2 years SAP ECC or S/4 experience in MM, IM and Ariba to S/4 Integration.
- Minimum of 1 full lifecycle SAP ECC or S/4 implementations.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in Public Sector (State & Local government, K-12, Utilities, Higher Education or Healthcare) in a consulting or managerial position.
- Experience designing integrations, managing, and troubleshooting the SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).
- Serve as subject matter expert in Ariba solutions (Upstream and Downstream) and Ariba to SAP S/4 integration.
- Ability to leads workshops with customers to demonstrate and explain module functionality and best practice processes.
- Provides guidance to customer through various stages of implementations as needed.
- Responsible for the management of Procurement team.
- Communicates with Delivery leadership.
- Manages and provide oversight of team tasks.

- Review and approve time/expense reports and time off requests.
- Actively work to resolve employee issues and/or concerns.
- Work with HR to address employee performance issues.
- Gather training needs from team and submit to senior leadership for review and approval.
- Nominate team members for awards.
- Ensure each employee has updated their resume on file, skills, and certifications.
- Manages team task lists in order to meet project milestones.
- Monitors team status and reports variances.
Leadership Skills
- Work closely with sales, delivery, project managers and RMG to assign team members to projects and/or AMS work based on an employee’s strengths and career interests.
- Monitor the bookings report for awareness of an employee’s capacity and availability for work assignments.
- Review bench list and actively work to reassign team members to billable work first or to other internal project work if billable work is not available.
- Seeks ways to increase the project team effectiveness.
- May act as a mentor to consultants as well as LSI Grow employees.
- Motivates and inspires team members.
Personnel Development
- Meet at least monthly with each direct report to understand the employee’s current workload, accomplishments, concerns, career interests and goals, discuss training needs, and provide ongoing feedback regarding employee’s performance using Darwinbox to record the meeting notes.
- Provide personnel performance, development, and education plans.
- Foster development of consultant skills and education to assist the employee in reaching their career goals while ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term success.
- Development of consultants’ career path for the long-term success of the company.
- Conduct annual personnel performance evaluations which should include meaningful feedback with descriptive examples.

Education
- BA/BS in computer science, business administration and or related fields.
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD) desired.
- Training in SAP Activate, certification preferred.
This role may require up to 25% travel.
