Assessors - Community Surgical Centres

Integrated Community Health Services Centres Canada

Description

Description

Accreditation Canada is searching for Registered Nurses, Midwives, Surgeons, and Physicians who are interested in becoming assessors for the Integrated Community Health Services Centres (ICHSC) Quality Assurance Program.

The ICHSC Quality Assurance Program is a mandatory, inspection-based program that enhances patient safety by assessing the facility-level policy and operations supporting the delivery of licensed services at a diagnostic, surgical and/or medical centre.

Assessors are experienced healthcare professionals from health and social care organizations who share our passion for quality improvement and people-centred care for all.  They play a fundamental role in conducting assessments of members' practices, both on-site and remotely, to ensure compliance with quality standards and facilitate continuous improvement. These dedicated health service professionals bring invaluable experience, knowledge, and insight to peer organizations in Canada and around the world.

If you are looking for a challenge and seeking to be part of something larger than yourself, this opportunity could be for you.

Terms: Availability to participate in a minimum of two assessments per year. One assessment is equal to two days on site and 0.5 days remotely. Additionally, some post assessment and travel time may be required. Assessments will be scheduled around assessors' availability and the needs of the ICHSC. Assessors will also participate in initial training and complete ongoing learning requirements.

Compensation: Assessors are paid an honorarium for time spent on assessments and are reimbursed for travel expenses.
